Great dog, learned to sit, stay, high five in one day

So far so good. Sweet and intelligent.

Milo is a super smart pup. He learns things in 2-3 goes usually. Very full of energy, loves all animals and people. Also like to nap a lot. So far an all around great pup. And already attached to me 😍

Koda, is such a great dog and listens to me, but when I am at work he tends to become destructive. When discipline he will show his teeth and test his boundaries.

Jade is already a valued member of the pack! She is so sweet, loves long walks on trails, and loves children(Sometimes tries to herd like cattle) but overall wouldn't trade her for the world

He is the sweetest pup, so friendly and smart. Within the first two weeks we got him (he was about 4 months old)he was already house trained, sitting and understanding commands! He is quite energetic, but at the same time LOVES napping and cuddling. Working on his obsession with nibbling on hands and jumping up. I suppose that's the puppy in him still though.

We rescued Koko from a farm four years ago--the owner of the farm had passed away suddenly. From the beginning, he has been very close to my daughter (who is now 8). He is very affectionate, but doesn't like to show it much. His health has declined a lot in the past year, but we just started him on a NSAID, which should help with his arthritis. He spends a lot of time relaxing, but at this point he has earned it. (Three owners, being shot, hit by a car, Lyme disease, several bouts with fleas). He still loves to go for drives in the car, even if I have to pick him to put him in the car.

Fell in love with her the minute we saw her.She is all the qualities explained above.She is very smart.Loves kids and people in general.Also is already bonded strongly to all of us.

This is my first aussiedor

He is the best dog. we adopted him from a shelter with no background on him and we have been so lucky to have him. Super friendly around my stepsisters newborn and toddler and is best friends with my Newfoundland. Super cuddly and lovable!

She is extremely protective to me and my children almost to a fault. Does not like to be left without a family member outside of the home. We are a military family and move often and she travels well with us.

When we first got her, we didn't know what to do! She had so much energy and wasn't able to express it properly. She was destructive (digging, clawing up our front door, tearing up her beds, etc.). But with adequate exercise and training she's calmed down quite a bit. She's protective of both my partner and me. She is so sweet and cuddly. She is great with my 5yo son. The best rescue we made. ❤

He is the most loving dog I've ever had.

Lucky has been an amazing dog. Always has been since we first got him. We have a 3 year old and he does great with her. When he hears something that he thinks could be something dangerous towards us he growls and barks to let them know they aren’t wanted at our home, animal or person. But he does well with company. He’s very loving and I would definitely recommend his breed to someone looking for a perfect pet!

Jango is the light in our lives. We recently lost our malamute and as they were best friends, Jango has blown us away by taking over as being protective over his house.

Very smart! Already knows to sit, lay, roll over, shake, and play dead😂 and such a sweetheart he is very affectionate and pushy when he wants attention. Jack does not like being home alone tho and he displays that with tearing things up and making lots of messes on the floor when left alone. He is still a puppy so he has lots of energy and needs to run it out in the yard he loves chasing the kids around💙

Im here because I lost mine 7 days ago. Im devastated. Get your babies heart checked around 10yr cuz mine had DCM. Her bread didn't have a common name when I found her at the pound. They had her labeled as a mutt but she was the perfect cocktail and I can't imagine a better dog than my Rena. She was trainable like you wouldn't believe, that unimaginable energy took some getting used to though. I once had to go to the store to by shoes but wasn't allowed in the store without shoes and I had to explain to them that rena has shredded every single shoe I owned. I got the hang of it though and Im glad I did, she filled my life with so much joy. She was loving and goofy, hated baths and scared of storms and soo smart. When my niece was a baby Rena would bring her slobbery stinky dog toys and lay them right at the babys feet, of course my niece would then try to stick it in her mouth. So full of love. I miss you Rena

Archie is extremely affectionate, excitable, and intelligent. He can jump over almost anything and therefore must be watched extremely closely when outside. He has been easy to train so far, with the exception of his jumping on house guests.

She's the best thing a person could ever have. She's smart, fun to be around, likes to cuddle, and just all around awesome.

Oreo loves and enjoys and gets extremely happy when we play with her 'hold a branch,or jump rope and she will keep running and chasing you to catch the other end" or a ball, likes to go out in car with you, She is trainable, loving and enjoys, steamed or raw veggies, fruits, yogurt, cottage cheese besides her regular dog food.

He is the first dog I've ever owned and I couldn't be happier. My family (as well as myself until later years) has always been scared of dogs and he has changed all of our minds! He is so calm and laid back everyone just loves him! We also have a Yorkie in the family that is overly hyper that he plays well with, but we all still prefer Maverick over the Yorkie.

He is amazing! He loves everyone. He is smart, he invents games,he loves to travel.

Gabrielle is our second Aussiedor.Xena is our first who is just over 1. They took to each other very fast. Just like any Aussiedor Gabrielle is smart active and loveable. She learns very quickly.

Gunner is very kind. He barks when there are strangers in the home, but once he realizes that they're nice, (which usually takes no more than 10-20 seconds), he'll be fine. Gunner has been around small children and has never tried to herd them. The only time he has ever bit someone was by accident when when he tried to grab a toy from me and bit my hand. It barely bled. Gunner is afraid of small dogs, but it very friendly with ones that are his size. He is the most loyal dog I've ever owned. He never leaves my side unless I make him do so.

Kaya is an exceptionally intelligent dog. The first few weeks were a battle of wills as we taught her to adapt to our household, but after a few months she is now a loving part of our family who willingly obeys and is excited to learn new things! She is very cuddly and thinks she is a lap dog. She is wary of strangers but quickly warms up to people and other dogs.

Charlotte is the sweetest and easily the smartest and most loyal dog I have ever owned. I’ve maybe heard her bark 6 times since getting her at 8 weeks old. She’s completely house trained, quiet, and has developed a motherly instinct since we recently got a Husky puppy.

It started off in 2004. We lived on 57th St. in Manhattan. Not the dogs happy place. Soon after we had a child and moved out to Long Island. Gracie is still well 15 years later.

Wow, a ball of energy if I ever saw one. You know how most dogs have mainly just food on the brain? Well this breed has just playtime on the brain, at least that's what we've learned from our baby Aussiedor, Zeno. He's very bright though, he actually just learned to shake yesterday in one training session with the help from his 2.5 year old sister (different doggy parents).

I purchased Callisto at 2 months old, & so far he’s been an excellent easy to train puppy, he’s had he’s mischievous moments but nothing crazy. He’s very friendly with the entire family, & very attentive & observant to sounds & environment. He’s definitely a working dog, as he enjoys learning or completing tasks. Wonderful dog to have very smart, playful, obedient, loyal & friendly.

Truly the best dog I’ve ever owned. She’s so eager to learn and to please. Potty training was a breeze, she learns so quickly! She LOVES food and loves being outside. Every weekend is spent hiking or running. She LOVES people and affection. Poppy is very vocal, when she’s excited, scared, hungry, territorial... any time. There’s no such thing as a chill day with Poppy and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Best dog ever! He is so smart. We do have some problems with him climbing everything. He knows how to climb fences, but he knows he isn't allowed to. Super easy to train. He is very well behaved around our horses and cow.

He's very playful loving. But having a hard time training him to pee and poop outside. Other then that he's awesome.

She is a very smart dog. She learned how to open all door even a pull one and shut them and also let her fellow dog companion out of his kennel in the mornings. One thing I would mention is she is very hard to read at times. She starting lunging when she was a pup and never stopped. If you maintain close eye contact she will lunge at you playfully of course. She likes to nibble on clothes to get you to play with her. She appreciates hugs and she does like when I give her kisses on her head. She does not mind at all me being close to her face or pressed against it lol.

She’s very sweet, a little mischievous but was really easy to train. She hates brushes and baths so she cleans herself and the cats help. She is already almost 40 pounds at 3 months and already really tall for a puppy so she’s going to be on the bigger side. She loves playing fetch and cuddling. She’s cuddling me as I write this. She does get really hot though so our house is around 65-69 but I still highly recommend this breed

We just got him. He's affectionate and chill. Not aggressive at all to cats or children.

He is a lovabale, good natured pup always glued to my feet from the day I adopted him. He loves lovin' and is content just to be with you. Rocky is a fantastic companion and I am grateful to be with him.

Very sweet, but exciteable. Very vocal and energetic. He is very sweet but mischievious, we often find him doing things he is not supposed to be doing. He loves going to the park to play fetch but wont give the ball back. He chews threw a pig ear in 8 mins tops. He has an attitude and loves to talk back. He has moments where the aussie comes out and he gets very jumpy and bites, but with training he has been getting better. He eats a large bag of puppy food in a month in addition to begging for human food. At work, coworkers deliberately scare him and he has started to go for revenge and bite them (they deserve it though..) Loves the beach and to dig holes and loves car rides. He is a VERY smart dog, pottytrained by 9 weeks and knew how to sit, lie down, shake and high five by 9 weeks too. Overall an amazing dog, he has the best cuddles!

I have had good and bad experience with dogs in my past. I love beagles but they were very hard for me to train and could never be off leash. We got our aussiedor about a month ago and its been a great experience. He is a solid red male. And I mean solid red. Red eyelids and nose. Its amazing to watch him learn tricks so fast. I'm by no means a dog trainer but I have owned many dogs and also have read up on training techniques. It only took a few 15 minute training sessions to teach sit, shake, and lay down. Keep in mind he's only 2.5 months old. He's also quickly learning the "settle" command to calm down when he gets too excited. I do have a 4 year old that quickly became part of his flock and he chases and nips, but we can see that behavior lessening by the day. Housebreaking was a big worry for me. He is almost housebroken but we have taken him outside to go about every hour he is awake and 3 times a night the first week. We are not crate training him because I don't like locking my dogs up. I know housebreaking will take longer because of this but he is catching on fast. If you are thinking of getting an aussie lab mix then just pull the trigger and do it with one thing in mind. They do have a lot of energy. I would wear out any other dog I've owned with a long walk. With Ranger I can walk him for a hour and bring him in and its like he just woke up and is ready to go. Anyway, he fits our family perfect and I think I've found the breed that I've been looking for my whole life. With the beagle mixes I used to rescue I was always frustrated that I couldn't let them off leash to just play. With our aussiedor we can take him to my moms farm with her great danes, lab, and basset hound and he gets the freedom to run and play while we don't worry about him taking off because he comes when called and also because the breed just likes to be around their people. To sum this up we just love Ranger our male aussiedor and he has been everything you could ask for in a dog!

Mabel is the perfect aussiedor! She is very smart and required almost no training. In fact, she helped train our foster dog just by example! She loves everyone once she is introduced and knows they are a friend. Mabel is full of energy outside but as soon as she comes inside she is very calm. She is a small aussiedor at only 45 pounds and she has the lab coat but Aussie blue merle coloring. Aussiedors are awesome!

My husband and I rescued Luna at 8 weeks. She's been amazing! Super smart and currently fully potty trained. We're crate training her and she's doing great! We train for about 30 mins a day and she learns so fast! She already knows sit, lie down, stay, shake, leave it and look at me. We're working on some others like stand and heel. She's so sweet and affectionate and is pretty high energy but we keep her busy! She does well with kids too! We're so happy to have her!

He is the sweetest little guy. We got him at 7 weeks which was very young. He was quick to learn standard commands mainly because he is extremely food motivated. He has started going to a trainer because we are having a really hard time with breaking him of his chewing habits and biting. He was crate trained in 2 days which is a life saver for us. Basically where ever we go he comes along and he loves it! He is so good with people and kids!! He looks more like a chocolate lab puppy but his longer fur is starting to really come in. Very very smart little guy.

Maggie is a wonderful dog she is so intelligent and affectionate. She is my best friend and constantly is trying to please, her grooming can be a nightmare as she sheds a lot but she is so soft and fluffy. I love my sweet girl and couldn't ask for a better dog

I feel he is a great dog! He is my baby and I am working hard to make him good. Just having a hard time training him sadly, but he is the most beautiful and loving boy I cannot get mad at him.

A beautiful breed that is very playful , but has so much energy for a short amount of time, then knocks out for 1-2 hours and back to doing the same.

My Aussiedor is extremely hyper and really hard to control at times. He is attentive when he wants to be. But I must say he does get very crazy.

He is my best dog yet he loves people so much but he does have a little problem with strangers. Other than that he gets along with our other dog great and he loves to run then pass out. He is our angle

He has been one of the best dogs. Very protective and affectionate. Loves to pose for the camera and gets so excited to see my boyfriend! He loves fuzzy blankets and using a pillow when he sleeps. He even snores! I love him to death!

Pepper is my first dog. She loves sleeping on pillows and with blankets. At night she loves to snuggle close and fall asleep. Overall she is the greatest thing that has ever happened and I love her.

Rudy is an emotional support dog. She is always next to me when home. She gets an attitude if I am gone for too long or too busy. Rudy is fun and loving and loyal. She is super sweet, sassy, and has her own personality. She has a bad habit of running out of the house. She doesn't let me clip her nails. However, she is easily groomed, requires 2-4 baths a year. She is very attentive. Makes a wonderful support dog. Senstive to criticism. Understands language well. She loves car rides, to play, and has a lot of energy.

Very energetic and not easily tired out

My Aussiedor is very easy to train and very affectionate. He is only 40 lbs but he might have been the runt of the litter. He isn't aggressive towards our cats, even when one of our cats had kittens he was very gentle with them. He does experience high separation anxiety and howls at anyone who comes near our house, but has never been aggressive when meeting new people. I would say aussiedors are perfect family dogs as long as they aren't left alone for more than 4-5 hours a day.
