The Bich-poo is a designer dog breed made from the crossbreeding of two wonderful dog breeds: the Bichon Frise and the Miniature Poodle. This dog breed will take on qualities from both parents, including their curly and hypoallergenic coats. Although they shed very little, this canine, like all dogs, will still need coat maintenance and other basic care. The Bich-poo will be friendly and energetic companion pets that will do great around children and other animals. They can also adapt to any environment as they are small and can do well in an apartment and a large home alike. These dogs are small and shouldn’t be fed too much food since they can be prone to obesity.
The history of many hybrid dog breeds, including the Bich-poo, is widely unknown. This is because they are usually very modern breeds. However, we do know the histories of the two breeds used to make the designer dog.
In this case, the Bich-poo was created by combining the Poodle and the Bichon Frise. The Bichon Frise is a dog that was created centuries ago in the Mediterranean. They easily made their way around the world as they were often used as trading objects. The Italian nobility fell in love with the dog breed and the Bichon Frise became very popular among them in the 1300s. Later on in the 1500s, they were discovered in France and treasured there as well. They found their way to the Canary islands and became popular there during the 15th and 16th centuries. The dog breed lost popularity in the 1800s, and efforts to restabilize the breed began after World War I.
The Poodle was developed to be a working water retriever and was also skilled at sniffing out a type of mushroom called truffles, a culinary delicacy. Germany, France and Spain, along with other places in Europe, were the main locations of popularity for this dog breed. Although they are often thought of as fancy and regal companion pets, this dog breed is actually very skilled at many canine sports and enjoys spending time outdoors. There exist three types of Poodle: the standard, the miniature, and the toy. The Bich-poo is a wonderful combination of the two parent breeds.
It is hard to determine exactly what a hybrid breed will look like, since you cannot determine how much of each parent's traits the dog will get. However, we do know that the dog will take on some characteristics from each breed.
The Bichon Frise is a puffy dog that has a thick coat of loose curls. They are usually all white with a black nose and dark eyes. Their tails hang over their back and are plumed. Their coats will usually be clipped, with either a round appearance for the show ring or a lower maintenance shorter cut for companion pets that stay at home.
Poodles are built squarely and also have thick and curly coats. They have round heads and long muzzles with slight stops. Their eyes will be dark or amber and oval in shape. These dogs will have level toplines and can be found in a variety of solid colors. The Bich-poo is most commonly seen as white or apricot with an adorable fluffy coat.
Although this breed does not shed a lot and can be considered hypoallergenic, their coat of coarse, loose curls will need frequent brushing in order to avoid any knots or tangles. Bathe and shampoo them when necessary.
They will most likely need to be groomed by a professional once every two to four months.
Aside from coat care, this hybrid breed will need dental care and nail clipping, like every other dog breed. All dogs should get their teeth brushed at least one or two times per week, or preferably every day if possible. Their nails should be clipped regularly, probably once or twice every month. If they get worn down naturally, less often will be sufficient. You will know when your Bich-poo needs their nails clipped if you hear them clicking on the floor when they walk. You should also check and clean their ears once a week.

The Bich-poo is an active dog breed that will need a minimum of 30 minutes of activity each day. However, if they do not have access to a backyard, these dogs may need a bit more time for exercise. If you notice your pet being destructive, for example barking, chewing or whining, you may want to cosider increasing the amount of time that you are spending exercising them. Include a dog park visit, a playdate session or a short forest trek to their week for added physical and mental stimulation.

I have a poochon and wondered what the maximum amount of time to walk her and how many times a day as she is very energetic and has lots of energy to burn. As I have heard that they should only be walked for 30 mins but feel that would be not enough.
