Border Newfie

Noodle is the best dog I have ever owned. He is so kind, caring and just the absolute best with my children ages ranging from 9 months to 12 years. He is always on guard. He knows when there is danger and he would do anything to protect me and my family. He dose not act his age! Noodle is 10 but he still acts as if he is a puppy. We do see some slight changes with the cold he dose get colder faster the older he gets but some snuggles fixes that right up! He is strong willed so he will get into the trash from time to time. He knows when he has done bad and will always give kisses to say sorry. He dose shed, alot. My house always has dog hair around. If I could change that factor he would literally be the perfect dog! My sweet Noodle always shows his affection buy snorting. The Vet said its his way of communication with us. He is so happy to see us each and everyday when we come home from work. He is just amazing.

Cuddles is the best dog in the whole world. She stuns everyone when we tell them her age because she acts like she’s young. She can run up to 30mph at the age of 14. She is always on the move and spends all night and rainy/cold days in the house snuggling with kitties. She is very healthy and has never had any problems, the vet can’t get over how she doesn’t age. She always spent her days running out on the farm and never penned up, never on a leash, always the best Purina food. She knows a few cool tricks, some she just learned recently! You can definitely teach an old dog new tricks!! She also has never pooped on the lawn or where people walk outside. She heads to the woods or the field, we don’t know why but she’s definitely perfect! She’s never been yelled at because she never does anything wrong!! We hope she lives forever and at the rate she’s going, she might just get there!

My boy is the absolute best. He is extremely loyal, he follows me everywhere! When I leave for work, he waits at the gate for me all day until I get back. He’s so intelligent, learns new tricks within minutes. He was so easy to leash train since he is so eager to please. He’s obsessed with tennis balls and any kind of toy at all. He’s obsessed with swimming. We go to the beach often and if I take a break from throwing him the ball for even a second he will go out into the ocean and lay in the water. He loves people! Great with babies and small kids. Sometimes he thinks he needs to herd other dogs. He can be unsure about dogs sometimes but after getting used to them he is usually really good with them. He is so gentle with my cats and bunnies. He’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a dog. He has sensitive skin and a sensitive stomach. He’s allergic to chicken byproduct as well as fleas. Fleas are a big problem for us in the summer time in California. I love him so much! Best dog ever

Our beloved Stella was the. best. dog. She was a very obediant and very playful companion. She would just as happily hike 10 miles or lay at your feet and snuggle. She was a saint with our two small children and welcomed them both into her home with an open heart during their infancies. She was great with other dogs, if a tad protective when the kids were close. In short, she was perfect. Sadly, she succumbed to T-cell lymphoma just shy of 7 years old. She was diagnosed about a month after turning 6. She fought hard, enduring several rounds of chemo, but still met het vet team with kisses and a wagging tail.

We adopted Dex from my father when he was 2 1/2. He was too much energy for my father and my husband feel in love with Dex. At first we had to get him used to our small child and us but after taking him on hikes and playing daily outside with him we have adapted to his energy level and he has grown attached to our family. He is very smart and I am working on training with him so far he seems to respond well. It is just keeping up with his energy level that is sometimes the challenge.

Emerson is very social. If someone comes to the door and just walks in he will be perfectly happy to let them in. If they ring the doorbell he barks like crazy. He has a pet rabbit that he lets climb on him and will chase the rabbit back into her room if she gets out. He will wake me up to let the cat in if it is raining. When my Grandson comes over and tries to grab at him, he licks him and the baby forgets to grab him.

She keeps us busy, she has high energy, we have found that she loves to jump over things. She is very loving

So far she is a great dog! She’s almost 💯 potty trained and knows sit and come

Roberta is super enthusiastic and friendly, she’s always willing to be pet and loves ”petting” back our newborn. It’s like having a gigantic puppy.

Stop dog I've ever come across loving funny personality like you've never seen before tug of war and fetch are her favorite games she loves to swim she's my little water puppy highly intelligent took me a day to teach potty training fetch Shake high five roll over and play dead this dog is 10 out of 10 what the intelligent she loves little dogs now she is scared of big dogs but still plays but doesn't ever ever attack in any living thing very friendly but when it does come to kids she likes to nip a little bit but nothing crazy she loves to talk to you a lot! Her best friend's a husky

Hes very hard headed , and stubborn. And loves to play! Theres never a dull moment with my puppy! Im excited for when hes bigger so we can do more training, and he can hopefully focus better!

I chanced into Mouse when I was looking for a dog to train as a PTSD and cardiac alert service dog. He is on the small side for a Border Newfie at 45 lbs and about 20 inches to the shoulder. Appearance wise, he has the markings on the chest and feet of a border, the fur length of a border with the texture of a Newfie, extremely small ears which has predisposed him to crohnic ear infections, and a waterproof coat. He was one of the easiest K9s I have ever trained (have trained shepherds and plotts primarily). He has two modes, “newf” and “border”. He will flip from acting like a full blood Newfie to a full blood border in the blink of an eye. When he is in Border mode .... he doesn’t slow down and will herd any thing in site. He instinctually let’s out a low grumble to vibrate my legs to warn me if someone is coming, which I have found to be a Newfie mix thing. He is extremely protective of the people he loves, but a gentle giant. He will hold someone and alert, but won’t put teeth on them. He tends to be a heavy chewer of toys, and destroyer of plushies .... unless it is one of his “favorites” as they seem to last forever. We have noted no prey drive, and he will even stand watch over the nest of bunnies we had this spring to ensure no one gets them. On days that I am extremely sick, he will spend the entire day in bed at my side, only leaving when my husband relieves him of duty to go eat or go potty. By far one of the most loyal dogs I have ever owned. He has been with us since the day he turned 12 weeks.

I LOVE my Border Newfie!! He has been there for me and my family through so many hard times! This dog is one heck of a best friend and he is a trooper! A family member was watching him and he was hit by a car. This dog was up and attempting to run 3 days after!! He recovered with a slight limp after walks and a stiff leg in the morning (its only been 1 month!). He is everything to my family. Anyone who we welcome in our home is best friends with our Baby D!

We didn’t think we would ever find another pet like our Flat-coated Retriever Max. Lucca was taught the ropes by Max before he passed when Lucca was about 10 months old. He is so pleasant and friendly with all other dogs and Loves kids.

She is very calm and has the best personality. She is very sweet.

He is very sweet and loves all other animals, some humans he is a bit resisten’t agains’t but other he just loves to death! Loves to track alla sorts of thing out in nature and to just chill in the sofa after a long day at the stable:D Love him! Couldn’t have found a better dog!!

Best & most loyal friend you could ever have. He lives to please. Most gentle dog I've ever seen (This is my 4th) Bad hip problems began about 2 years ago, now very bad, but he's still happy & kicking!

We rescued Max, and he lived for 12 long years! He was the sweetest, smartest dog I've ever met. Extremely affectionate and he never left our sides. All of the neighborhood dogs and kids loved him, he never bit or growled at anyone or any dogs. He loved squeaky toys and balls. Make sure to keep an eye on their weight for joint health. He was such a happy dog! I miss him terribly.
