Italian Grey Min Pin

I spontaneously took a trip to my local animal shelter about 7 months ago and l walked out of there with my baby Luna. She’s the sweetest dog I’ve ever known. She loves going on walks and running at the field. She loves napping with me as well. She doesn’t do well with kids or other dogs; she’s a rescue dog so I think seeing other dogs triggers her?? She’s very calm overall and she’s very loyal as well. She truly changed my life for the better and I’m forever grateful to have seen her at that shelter.

I adopted Penny from the animal shelter and a DNA test let me to realize that she's a true Italian Grey Min Pin, her mother was IG, father Min Pin. I think she had a pretty rough start in life. When I first met her, she actually tried to bite be because she was so terrified of human contact; that sealed her fate, I knew this was the dog for me, she needed someone to love her, and I, still feeling pain from the loss of my previous rescue, needed someone to love. Penny is an absolute sweetheart once she allows you to love her. The highlight of every day is coming home to her. She is always so excited to see me. She is NOT a social dog at all. She would prefer it if my roommates dog were gone, and she doesn't like making new friends. She is 100000% and introvert; she has her family (myself and my roommate) and she has no need for anyone else. We do agility trials, and where all the other dogs are excitable and want to play with each other, Penny is happiest sitting in my lap on in the bleachers while we wait for our turn to compete. She loves going to agility trials, but she wants people, and other dogs to leave her alone. I don't know if this is normal for this breed, as I stated before, she is the SWEETEST dog I've ever met, once you are "in" She loves to snuggle and cuddle, she has no understanding of personal space, and she's always down to take a nap with me. She is SOOOOOO smart too. I've had dogs my whole life, and this one is by far, the smartest dog I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. One of her biggest "flaws" (for lack of a better word) is that she loves to tear the squeakers out of of her toys. I will come home to a bloodbath of stuffing all over the house. I've started hiding her "babies" in cabinets, drawers, on top of things, etc - some how she always manages to get them - I can't figure it out....she's smart....scary smart. All in all, this is one of the best dogs I've ever had in my life, I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world, and I would highly recommend this breed. I think her little social anxieties and awkwardness is due to her past upbringing and just her goofy personality. But if you are looking for an intelligent, sweet, playful, all around fun little dog - consider this mix!

We have only had him for 3 days. He is still stand offish. My husband and I are in our early 70’s but we are raising 2 grandchildren. Their ages are 11 boy and 10 girl. They love to death. He is mostly for them.

Wonderfuly smart and very loyal, ours is a rescue from a puppy mill. He tends to be a bit aggressive when first introduced but is incredibly loving once comfortable. I would recomend this breed to anyone with an active life style and a big heart.

A lovable breed that lives up to the name lap dog. Little Lady loves watching TV and gets excited when animals come on so Animal Planet and Americas funniest Videos are her 2 favorite shows. Super smart have to be on you toes. Lady actually learned to spell words such as Food, Treat, Hungry, and Bed. So if you spell out these words she knows what they are. She is a glutton and will eat and eat if you let her. Cant leave food in her bowl or it will be gone. Was not good with a automatic feeder system. Does not like rain and barely tolerates snow. Loves people but is skittish with kids. Also loves Cats and was friends with my old rabbit Buddy till he died a few years back. For a rat dog she is terrified of mice! But will chase a gopher or groundhog twice her size down with out a care.

Darkstar was brought home for a ‘week’. That’s about how long it took for me to grow attached to him. He was INSANELY skittish when he first got here. Slowly he got less and less jumpy with me, but stayed anxious with everyone else. After a few weeks he took over the house. He thinks he runs the place, but listens when I get stern with him. He never leaves my side, until my mom goes to bed and he jumps in to cuddle with her. Perfect dog all around, he literally sits on the bed until I get home, and will not eat or drink until I do. I have never had a dog before and he has been the best friend to me.

Love him. Barks at all people who come in the door. Never aggressive more like, "Don't forget about me. I am in charge here."

He can be very aggressive sounding when he plays. He loves to be with me.. he hates to be alone and Thunder storms.. he only barks when something scares him... but he chats with me with out barking unless he wants to be outside is is 12 to 15 inches tall black with rust color markings of a min pin. I rescued him from the pound in Houston Texas....

Awesome doggie. She is very attached to me and the family. When young she loved to get loose in the forest and go "wilding" returning wet, muddy, and very happy! She is very kind and friendly and many people say she should be a therapy dog due to her sweet demeanor. Pancreatitis has been our biggest challenge. She can get upset at change and get sick. She is fourteen and in the hospital for pancreatitis due to Oregon wildfires. We miss her and lover her and can't wait to see her asap!!!
