Yorkie Pin

As a designer dog breed, YorkiePins are not as well known as many other breeds due to how recently they've emerged on the scene. The trend of mixing various dogs breeds together in order to extrapolate their most desirable traits into one pup really came into full swing within the last 30 years or so. More likely than not, the Yorkie Pin was first bred into existence sometime during the late 1980's, early 1990's,  as is the case with many designer dog breeds. But other than the little information that can be gained from conjecture, not much is known about our friendly neighborhood Yorkie Pins. The Yorkshire Terrier and Miniature Pinscher, on other hand, are much more well known than their hybrid offspring, and looking into their pasts can help shed some light on the Yorkie Pin's somewhat ambiguous existence. Yorkshire Terriers were bred to work as top-notch rat catching machines, chasing down and rooting out scores of vermin in 1800's England. Indeed, the Yorkie Pin still possesses the Yorkshire Terrier's rat killing instincts, as Yorkie Pins are apt to give to chase to smaller creatures that come into their vicinity. Yorkie Pins receive a double dosage of that rat hunting instinct from their Mini Pin parents as well. Like the Yorkie, the Miniature Pinscher is also a renowned rat catcher whose skills were so keen that the American Kennel Club recognized the  Mini Pin's exceptional abilities in 1925. The Miniature Pinscher's origins are also steeped in mystery, as it's exact birth date is a topic of debate, but its irrefutably keen rat hunting instincts have served it well all throughout its days and, combined with the Yorkie's skills, will help the Yorkie Pin to stand out as an adept hunter and lovable companion.
