Pooch-A-Palooza
It's party time at the Pooch-A-Palooza! This event is hosted by Quad Indoor Sports in Evanston once a year. Owners and their pets come out to see the vendors, demonstrations and to participate in games for paw-ty animals. Activities include an agility course, play area, contests, games, and prizes. Puppies must be potty trained and all dogs must be on a leash. The event is held in October, so your pet can compete in a Halloween costume and plan for there to be dog appropriate tricks and treats! The event is held in an indoor sporting arena, so rain or shine, it's a chance to come together to enjoy the dogs.

Montrose Dog Beach
Play on the beach along Lake Michigan at the Montrose Dog Beach just south of town in Chicago! A corner of the beach is fenced and legally designated for off-leash dog play. The beach offers doggie bags for quick clean-ups. There is also a dog wash area - a great idea for rinsing off the sand before heading home! The beach is free but dogs are required to have a DFA tag to guarantee rabies vaccinations to keep all in the area safe. For two games a year, you can take your dog to the ball "bark" to see the Chicago White Sox! Tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis and are quickly sold out.
