Each year, 10,000 people from the Wichita area get together for the largest fundraising event for the Kansas Humane Society! You and your pooch won’t want to miss out on a day of shopping at doggy vendor booths, participating in the silent auction, or joining in on one of the many activities at the event.
At the event, you can help raise money for the Kansas Humane Society. The more you raise, the bigger the prize you will receive!
Woofstock will be held on a day in October from 9:30 am to 3 pm at Sedgwick County Park. General admission is just $10 per person.

Pooch Pool Party
Rock River Rapids Aquatic Park in Derby hosts a Pooch Pool Party each year to mark the end of the summer swimming. Dogs flood the pool for the last swim of the season, and to keep the pooches safe, the chemicals in the pool have been adjusted for a furrier member of your family.
During this fun swimming event, you can win door prizes, as well as prizes in a number of categories including Cutest Dog, Smallest Dog, Best Dressed Dog, and Biggest Dog!
While the water park is generally geared toward children, during the Pooch Pool Party, Rock River Rapids won’t allow anyone under the age of 16 to get in the water, and even adults are only allowed to swim up to their thighs.
Each owner is allowed two dogs and admission is $5 per dog.

ICT Doggie Costume Contest and Party
Are you ready to party with your pet to celebrate Halloween? If so, you are in luck, because the ICT Doggie Costume Contest and Party comes to the ICT Urban Pop-Up Park each October for an afternoon of fun with your pup!
Bring your dog, and make sure they are in their best costume! During the costume contests, your dog could win prizes for their great outfits. The party will feature some paw-some activities and opportunities for socialization! Local food trucks will provide food and there will be live music.
Tickets are free, but donations are welcome. When you donate $5 or more, you will be entered into a giveaway contest.

Dog-N-Jog
Each April, the Indian Hills Animal Clinic hosts the Dog-N-Jog event, which gets people and their dogs out and moving! On the morning of the race, registration begins at 7:30 am. The 5k race starts at 8, with an awards ceremony at 9:10 am. The 1.5-mile Walk-N-Walk starts at 9:30.
The course takes runners through Sedgwick County Park and around Horseshoe Lake, which provides beautiful views!
Early entry fees are $25 per adult for each race. Youth registration fees are $20 per race when you sign up before race day. Day-of registration is an additional $5 for both youth and adults.

Who Let the Dogs Out 5k and Tail Waggers 1-Mile Fun Run
The Sunflower Building at Sedgwick County Park is the starting point for the Who Let the Dogs Out 5k and Tail Waggers 1-Mile Fun Run or Walk each November! Bring your dog to this running event to help raise money and awareness for Spay Neuter Kansas.
The 5k race will be chip-timed, but the 1-Mile Fun Run won’t be.
All participants who sign up early enough will receive a shirt and finishing medal, while dogs will get a finishing tag, treat bag, and their choice of toy!
Registration fees will be announced closer to the date of the event.
