Pet Poolooza
If your dog loves water, you won’t want to miss out on Pet Poolooza held every August at CiCo Park Pool! Local pet vendors will be on site during Pet Poolooza with products that you can’t live without.
There will be music, giveaways, and an afternoon of swimming that promises to be fun for the whole family. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., your dog can splash around in the pool while enjoying the company of dozens of other local dogs!
A suggested donation of $2 will be requested at the door for each dog entering, but it isn’t required. Donations go to the City of Manhattan Animal Services Department.

Dog ‘N Jog
Join the Kansas State University Veterinary Health Center for the annual Dog ‘N Jog! Take part in a 5k, 10k, or 1.5k race with your dog.
Register online for each race that you want to participate in at $25 per race. Late entry on the morning of the race up the price to $30. Early registration includes a T-shirt for the racer. Extra T-shirts are $15 each.
Proceeds from the jog benefit KSDS Assistance Dogs, which provide guide dogs to the visually impaired, service dogs for those with physical disabilities, and facility dogs to help professionals get canine help in the workplace.

PVybe Prairie Disc Dogs Camp
Sign up for the annual PVybe Prairie Disc Dogs Camp for the chance to teach your dog a fun new activity that the whole family can enjoy! Ron Watson and Apryl Lea of Pawsitive Vybe will help teach your dog how to be a disc catching super pup.
The camp runs for four days and three nights each September. Depending on the package you select for you and your dog, admission is between $175 and $525. On Sunday night, there will be a competition to show off all you have learned.
Stay on the campsite for free with paid admission.
Only 20 groups are accepted into the camp, so sign up ASAP!

Night for the Dogs
Purple Paws Animal Welfare Society hosts its annual Night for the Dogs fundraiser event each April to help raise money to support the organization. Enjoy live music with dinner, wine, and beer, while raising money for a great local cause!
Take part in their silent auction, where you can bid on a variety of great items from local businesses such as Varsity Donuts, Bluestem Bistro, Orange Sky Yoga, and Manhattan Running Company.
Tickets are $40 per person, and space is limited. This fundraiser begins at 6:30 p.m. Dinner is served at Prairiewood Blue Sage Barn on the Prairiewood Retreat and Preserve.
