Holiday Run
Looking for an excuse to get some exercise and work up a sweat with your pet? Lincoln Track Club’s Holiday Run could be just what the doctor ordered. Held in early December, this Fido- and fitness-friendly event features a 5K run and a kids’ 1-mile course. The races start and finish at the Pioneers Park, with all participants encouraged to bring their dog along for the run. Every participant in the Holiday Run gets a special Holiday gift and all dogs get a treat, but the best part is that all proceeds from the event benefit Capital Humane Society.

Tails ‘N Trails Pet Walk & Festival
Once a year, Capital Humane Society throws a huge paw-ty for people and their pets. This celebration is known as the Tails ‘N Trails Pet Walk & Festival, and it offers a huge variety of dog-friendly entertainment for the entire family! Held at the Fallbrook Town Center, the event kicks off with a half-mile or full-mile walk, which sees dogs and their owners enjoying a relaxed, social stroll. The walk is followed by a furr-ociously good festival featuring live music, food trucks, heaps of vendors, face painting, and more! Your dog can indulge herself on the pupcake walk, go bobbing for hot dogs, enter the cutest costume contest, or even try her luck in the man vs dog peanut butter licking contest. The event raises tens of thousands of dollars for Capital Humane Society each year, so check it out and join in the fun.

Wine & Howl

If you agree, you’ll want to get along to Deer Springs Winery this June for the annual Wine & Howl fundraising event.
