In the neighboring town of Englewood, you can find another puppy paradise! It’s in the Duncan Park neighborhood, under a 10 minute drive from Cherry Hills Village, that you can find the Duncan Park Off-Leash Dog Area. Here you and your dog can play fetch and make some new furry friends. This park welcomes dogs to run and play off-leash, but be aware that the area is not fenced in. Other features include a doggy drinking fountain, restrooms, playgrounds and paved pathways. After working up an appetite, head over to Frank the Pizza King right nearby. Southwest Englewood
The Southwest Englewood neighborhood of Englewood is the proud home of Cornerstone Park, just west of Cherry Hills Village. This park has something in it for everyone, including the family dog! Features of this park include sports fields, mini-golf, a splash pad, playgrounds, picnic areas, and a mile of walking trails. There is plenty of open space to roam around and let your pupper sniff and play on. For some off-leash fun, head over to the Englewood Canine Corral, in the northwest corner of Cornerstone park. Here you can find drinking water for the dogs, waste bags, and a porta-potty for the humans. Within the fenced area, you’ll find wood chips for ground coverage, shade trees, and even agility equipment! Dogs need to stay leashed when they’re not inside the fenced area.

Greenwood Village
Just a 15 minute drive southeast of Cherry Hills Village lies the town of Greenwood Village. This town is just 15 minutes away, and has some more great places to explore with your pooch. To start your day off right, head over to the Early Bird Restaurant. Here you can enjoy brunch in a casual artsy atmosphere with your best pal. The outdoor gated patio welcomes dogs! After brunch, head over to Westlands Park, on South Quebec Street. In this 25 acre park, you and your dog are sure to love the walking trails that circle around a pond. There is plenty of play equipment to be found here, along with shaded picnic tables and great views. Leashed dogs are welcome as long as they get picked up after.

Meadow Hills
One of the main attraction in the area is Cherry Creek State Park, which can be accessed from the Meadow Hill neighborhood of Aurora, just a 15 minute drive east of Cherry Hills Village. The park is surrounding a 880 acre reservoir, and features a natural prairie environment of rolling hills and meadows. On offer are outdoor recreational facilities for picnicking, camping, and more! Possibly the best part is the sprawling 107 acre off-leash dog area. Here your pup can enjoy some socialization, romp around like a wild dog on the trails, and cool off in the Cherry Creek. If you go during the peak hours, there may be a wait time. Doggy drinking water and waste bags are available at the front gate. Dogs need to stay leashed while not inside the fenced area, but are welcome to enjoy the natural wonderland of Cherry Creek State Park along with you.
