Miami, Florida is perched on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, gifting the city’s residents with warm weather year-round and allowing for outdoor activities throughout the seasons. Whether you like to relax in the park, go on a hike, or swim away the heat, you and your four-legged friend can easily find an activity that fits your mood in the city.

The Miami Parks and Recreation Department manages more than 120 parks, which gives you plenty of choices for places to visit. Bicentennial Park consists of approximately 30 acres of land, with grassy fields and several walkways that are great for your daily walk, jog, or sprint. Miami is home to many open spaces, which are perfect for a picnic or for simply taking a break away from the urban bustle.

For dogs who prefer to run off-leash, you don’t want to miss Blanche Park. The fenced-in area is covered in astroturf; Blanch Park also provides paved paths and benches for human visitors, and the best part? Plenty of space for Fido to run, socialize, and make a mess in.

The Bark Park at Amelia Earhart Park is another option, especially for dogs who love the water. This five-acre park has separate areas for small and large dogs, as well as trees, a waste station, and a drinking fountain. Best of all, the Atlantic is close by, giving you a beautiful view as you hang out with your pup.
