Nappanee is 28 miles south of South Bend. Nappanee gives its dogs a place to run and play off-leash. Nappanee Dog Park, located at 1300 N. Oakland Avenue, has a flat grassy area for dogs to roll, run, and sniff. Small dogs have a separate area. The park has drinking fountains and waste receptacles. A few benches give the human companions a place to sit and chat while their pup socializes with his pals. This dog park requires the purchase of an annual membership from the city.
