South Eudora
If you’re looking for a quiet place to explore with your waggy companion, look no further than the southwest part of town. Here, you'll find one of Eudora's community parks, which has a great trail. For a true taste of the countryside, stop by Bluejacket Crossing Vineyard — it's about four miles from the heart of the city. The surrounding farmland makes for a wonderful rural walk as well: small ponds and lakes dot the landscape, and the Wakarusa River runs through the countryside. Head to the south end of town to visit the Parks & Recreation Department and find out about local events and activities.

Kill Creek
Kill Creek is a great place to check out for anyone who wants a taste of nature, and it’s just a 15-minute drive from Eudora. The surrounding park has plenty of activities for you and your dog: numerous hiking trails, a marina, picnic shelters, a swimming beach, and even a 16-acre off-leash dog area make for a great day out. Broken Arrow park to the west is another great place to visit, and even further west is Naismith Valley Park, which has a nature trail following the stream that runs through it.
