Ambler Park in the aptly named Ambler Heights neighborhood is a great place to slow down and sniff out relaxation. The park is long, but narrow. If you choose to follow the paths along Doan Brook, you will eventually wind up in Fairhill Road Rockefeller Park. Both parks have drinking fountains and spaces to rest, but it’s several miles one way. If you have a frisky dog who needs that kind of exercise, bring your own water bowl! It’s a long walk between human-sized fountains. If your dog needs less exercise, pay attention to how far you’ve come, because it doesn’t loop back! Dogs must be on leash at all times.

Kamm's Corner
Impett Park in Kamm’s Corner is a busy destination year round. In the summer, the park offers a pool in addition to the playground and tennis courts. Frank Novac Park is a small, historically interesting park in the heart of Ohio City. As the neighborhood shifts, becoming more family focused and hip, the park is getting new life and new attention. Tremont
Clark Field, inside of Tremont Park, was Cleveland’s first dog park when it opened. It’s still one of the best today! It has a gravel groundcover with state of the art drainage. Additional perks include benches for humans, waste stations, and a doggy water fountain! Clark Field is meant for off-leash play, but if you’re looking for an on-leash walk, head to Lincoln Park instead. This park isn’t large, but is popular in the neighborhood. Curious dogs have plenty to see and sniff while power-walking laps to tire themselves out.

The first step for any downtown dog should be Downtown Cleveland Dog Park. This park is small, but makes the most of its space. It’s an open area that’s completely fenced. At the edge of the busy downtown district, this off leash, fenced in dog park is a thrill for city dogs and passing through country pups alike. If you prefer an on-leash walk, nearby Heritage Park is a tiny space that offers huge views, from the Cuyahoga River to the scenic Cleveland skyline.
