For a more active adventure, you could come over to Babcock County Park. This park is open to the public and offers fishing, camping, picnicking, and a playground. You can also walk the trails with your leashed dog. While there are swimming spots, dogs are not permitted to swim from the shore. There are boat docks, though, and dogs are allowed to swim from the boats. You will want to bring a leash with you. There are restrooms for the campers, but you will need drinking water for your pet. This is a seasonal park which is closed in the winter months because the lake freezes.

Indian Mound Dr
Indian Mound Conservation Area has its own park. There are multiple trails here that are of varying lengths and difficulties. Some trails are very well-marked with mile markers and others lose their trail clarity. You can go online and get a map, or you can pick on up at City Hall. Your dog must stay on a leash at all times for his safety. The park is closed during bad weather. There has been very little development to this side of Indian Mound Park, so you will want to bring plenty of water for you and your dog to drink.

John Urso Community Park features on-leash walking trails that you can explore with your dog. It also has an off-leash area called Village Dog Park. This fenced-in area was established so the locals would have a place to socialize their dogs. There is a fee to play here. You can get a day pass or pay annually. There is no water at the park, but there are doggie waste bags located at the trash cans for your convenience. You will love playing at this park because it is so well-kept. It's also pawpular with the local pooches, so Fido can sniff out plenty of new friends!

The Spartan Bowl is another barktastic place to grab a bite to eat with your dog. This is a bowling alley that allows you to bring your pup! Dogs are not allowed at the bowling lanes, though, only at the outdoor tables. They serve burgers, wraps, and pizzas, and offer a full-service bar as well. You will love the fun atmosphere of this place! Your dog will have as much fun as you do. You do have to keep your dog on a leash at all times. You will need to bring a dish for your dog as well.
