Introduction

Beastly is a 2011 romantic fantasy film and a loose adaptation of the 2007 novel of the same name by Alex Flinn. Set in present-day New York City, film’s premise is a modern retelling of the famous fairytale Beauty and the Beast. It stars Alex Pettyfer, Mary-Kate Olsen and Vanessa Hudgens in the lead roles. Pettyfer plays the role of Kyle Kingson, a vain and cocky young man who likes to bully people for their appearance. When he bullies his schoolmate Kendra (played by Olsen), who is revealed to be a witch, she turns him into a hideous-looking man and the only way to break the spell is to get someone to fall in love with him.

Beastly Inspired Dog Name Considerations

Whether you are giving a puppy a name for the first time or renaming a dog that you recently rescued or adopted, you want to make sure that you pick out the most appropriate name. This refers to a name that is not only special but one that you enjoy saying over and over and that your dog will happily answer to. While it may seem difficult to find the “perfect” name, it is possible as long as you take some key elements into account.

One of the things you have to focus on when brainstorming for a name is how easily your dog can comprehend it. As cool or impressive as a name’s meaning may be, your pooch won’t be able to appreciate the origin of the name. They will, however, remember how it sounds like to their ears. As a rule of thumb, the best dog names are those no longer than two syllables. This benefits both you and your dog because it is easier for your dog to remember and easier for you to say repeatedly.

The names of the people in your home should also be considered when picking a name for your new pooch. If you have other pets at home or live with other people, it is best to avoid similar-sounding names to prevent any confusion. For instance, if you have a cat named “Lucky”, you might want to stay away from rhyming names such as “Bucky” or “Rocky”.
