BoJack Horseman Dog Names

Talk about a Lab! One of the shiniest stars on the Hollywood sky, the Golden Labrador Mr. Peanutbutter is the rival of BoJack Horseman and one of the funniest characters on the show. Mr. Peanutbutter is a handsome lad with his yellow coat and a muscular physique. He shows his cool status by always sporting a pair of Ray Ban aviator sunglasses and a grey V-neck t-shirt.

Mr. Peanutbutter moved to Los Angeles back in the early 1990s from, ironically, Labrador Peninsula in Canada. As it seems, luck follows him wherever he goes, so he got hired almost immediately and with no prior experience as an actor! One of the reasons behind BoJack’s resentment of Mr. Peanutbutter is the fact that he starred in a copy of BoJack’s famous show Horsin’ Around – even the working title of Mr. Peanutbutter’s show was Untitled Horsin’ Around Knockoff!

The star of the day is a bit of a ladies man as well. He was married three times, one of which was to a famous actress Jessica Biel! People and other anthropomorphic animal characters love him for his sunny nature. He is always positive, chipper, and kind to others. Sometimes, his energetic demeanor can be a bit too much for BoJack who is the exact opposite of him. Mr. Peanutbutter, however, is not very bright, often having a hard time understanding puns, which makes his humor a bit difficult to understand due to his lack of general knowledge.

It is important to remember that, above all, Mr. Peanutbutter is a good boy. This can be seen very clearly on the license plates of his Maserati, as they say G00D B0Y! He loves tennis balls, but hates tennis, because no one ever catches the ball! Of course, he cannot eat chocolate, he hates fireworks and loud noises, and has a twin brother named Captain Peanutbutter, which suggests that Peanutbutter is not an alias, but a last name.

Speaking of his name, it is pretty self-explanatory, but no less interesting because of that. If you’ve ever watched YouTube videos of dogs doing funny stuff, you have probably stumbled upon a plethora of videos of puppers licking peanut butter off a spoon. Since Mr. Peanutbutter is a ditsy character, it is pretty clear why the writers decided to name him like that. Whatever the reasoning was, an undisputed fact is that he is one of the most beloved characters on the show, and also one of the funniest ones!
