Introduction

Officially the Republic of Chad, Chad is located in Central Africa, bordered by Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, the Central African Republic to the south, Cameroon and Nigeria to the southwest and Niger to the west. Chad is Africa’s fifth largest country as far as land area. The country includes multiple regions; a desert zone in its northern part, an arid belt in the center and a more fertile zone in the south. In addition to the diversity of its landscape, the country is home to more than 200 ethnic and linguistic groups. Since 2003 crude oil has become Chad’s primary source of income from exports, bringing in more dollars than the traditional cotton industry. With such diversity, Chad is a great place to take a closer look at to find the perfect name for your new pup.

You’ve brought your new pup home and no matter how you try you just can’t seem to decide on a name that is “just right”. If this sounds familiar, know that you are not alone. Choosing a name for your new canine companion may be a challenge. And for good reason; you will be calling their name for years to come.

So, what do you do? Why not take a trip; at least a virtual one. Explore a place that is new to you. You can take a virtual tour of the place and learn more about it, encountering unique name possibilities for your new pal.

Take Chad, for example. The country is located in Central Africa and includes varied landscape and great diversity among its people.
