Dog Names Meaning Cloud

The word of literature is vast and immensely exciting with the variety of the types of the written word available to us, both now as well as from the past — these literary works, whether books, magazine, educational papers or old newspapers, are found physically in print in many public, private and home libraries. You’ll see them in the form of physical books or periodicals, or, for convenience, some choose digital renderings, making it possible to carry many books with them, on their phones, tablets, e-readers or laptops.  The world of the written word offers much to us in many facets of our daily lives.  A particular book introduces our pop culture spotlight for today - a dog named Misty, and the purpose for which the book, “Stories of a Dog Named Misty” was written.

Misty is a real dog, a Cairn Terrier owned by Marjorie H. White and her late husband.  Misty is the “terrier” breed personified in that she is vigorous, full of life and spirit, and, described as an absolute imp! The book is written from Misty’s point of view, creating a fun and engaging picture of a dog’s life through the eyes and mind of that dog.  Have you ever looked at your darling doggie and wondered what was going on behind those bright, mischevious brown eyes?  While we can never be entirely sure about how those wheels are turning in those little heads, if you know very much at all about canines and have watched their behaviors, you frequently can imagine what they’re thinking.  

Marjorie and her late husband had Misty for several years before he passed away, leaving Marjorie and Misty to form a deeper bond, relying heavily upon each other.  In the months and years after the husband’s passing, Marjorie realized what a treasure she possessed in the form of that mischevious, peppy pup she called Misty.  Marjorie wrote the book from Misty’s point of view, documenting those occasions when, for a variety of reasons, Misty would chase the neighbor’s cat.  Misty’s funny antics provided more than sufficient fodder as she pursued the cat through the house and surrounding woods, sometimes being found sitting and barking at the base of a tree up which allowed the cat had escaped Misty’s hot pursuit. The story is both fun and entertaining, engaging the animal-loving reader, regardless of age, in the seemingly muddled mind of canines.
