Meatball was a brindle Bulldog who belonged to actor Adam Sandler. Sandler got the dog as a puppy in 2000 and the dog and actor were practically inseparable from there on. The round, chunky Bulldog was the perfect friend for Sandler's other dog Matzoball. The name Meatball was very fitting for this pup's size and also to accompany Sandler's other pooch.

One of the dogs most notable moments was when he famously participated in Sandler's wedding to his wife Jackie Teton. Meatball wore a black tuxedo and a skull cap hat as well to the wedding, and was photographed numerous times throughout the event (how could anyone with a camera resist?!? Adorable!). Meatball also acted as the couple's ring bearer and walked down the aisle with the rings immediately after the couple's parents - what an honor!

While joining in the wedding festivities may be Meatballs most notable role, he also starred in a movie with Sandler entitled " A Day With Meatball". This comedy followed Sandler and his pup around as they went about their daily life. While the film did not have the best reviews (sorry Meatball!), it showed how close the actor and his pup were. Sadly, Meatball's life ended too quickly as the pup had a heart attack in 2006. Sandler publically grieved the passing of his pup and even brought his collar with him to a red carpet event. While Meatball had a very short life, I am sure that it was full of love and constant attention! Adam Sandler does love his pups!

Comedian Chelsea Handler also had a dog with a name that means fat, her pup Chunk. Chunk was an Instagram star and loved by many. Chunk passed away in 2018 and left Handler heartbroken. Luckily, the star was consoled by thousands who had grown to love Chunk through social media. Singer Fergie has a pup named Meatloaf, a Dachshund whom the star can be seen playing with along with her other dog, Zoe.
