DuckTales Dog Names

When you think about DuckTales you probably think of the infamous Beagle Boys gang that encompasses a large family full of career criminal Beagles. The Beagle Boys gang became a major antagonist in the series and they try all different ways to break into Scrooge McDuck’s mansion to steal his money. The leader of the Beagle Boys is surprisingly their mother, Ma Beagle. She is the most experienced thief of the group. Bigtime Beagle is the second in command and sometimes resents that his mother leads the gang. The original Beagle Boys consisted of Ma, Bigtime, Burger, Baggy, Bouncer, Bugle, Bankjob and Babyface. Each of these rather determined Beagles has their own personality and skills that are necessary to succeed in robbing Scrooge McDuck. However, every time they come up with a plan it is foiled usually by Huey, Dewey and Louie.

There are some minor characters that are part of the Beagle Boys and only made a few appearances on the show. However, these characters did win the hearts of fans with their quirky personalities and fumbling ways. Bebop, Bomber, Backwoods, Binky and Megabyte Beagle each had their own personalities and contributed something special to the gang. Then there are the Beagle Babes, Boom-Boom, Babydoll and Bouffant, which are cousins to the original Beagle Boys. Another group of Beagles that invaded DuckTales are the Beagle Brats. These younger Beagles seem to be cousins or nephews of the original Beagle Boys and were originally created in the 1960s for comic books.

Another group of minor Beagles appeared in one specific episode titled “The Beagle Birthday Massacre!” Each group had a specific idiosyncrasy that made them unique and absolutely lovable. The Deja Vus are French relatives that end up repeating themselves. The Glam Yankees dress up in Colonial costumes and musicians. Then there are the 6^th Avenue Meanies who are thugs and the Bad Attitude is a subset of the Meanies. The 6^th Avenue Friendlies are just that; friendly. The Benevolent Beagles are a subset of the Friendlies. The Longboard Taquitos are surfer, dare devils and the Tumblebums are evil clowns. Finally, there are the Ugly Failures, Botched Job, Bungle and Bottle. Ma Beagle sees these three as the biggest disappointments of the entire family.

While many of these Beagle names seem a little off the wall, many of them perfectly describe the bearer’s personality. This is exactly how people should think when they are looking for the perfect name for their new dog. Even if the name seems a little odd, like Megabyte or Bungle, it is unique and fits the puppy.
