Famous Entrepreneur Dog Names

Chances are if you’re looking to give your dog a famous entrepreneur’s name, you’re likely an entrepreneur yourself or are at least inspired by some of history’s great minds that have successfully blurred the lines between invention, problem solving, and business. In the modern era, that is easier than ever, as many pet owners have even turned their dogs into big enough Internet celebrities to make a living off of it, and that’s no joke. Whether these dogs are actors, models, or just popular on social media, they’ve opened considerable doors for their owners and created an entirely new branch of modern entrepreneurs. So whether you’re just picking a name for your low-key pet or about to attribute a title to a soon-to-be online sensation, make sure you find one that sticks for good reason - you never know where it might end up.

Finding a good name goes far beyond just randomly picking one and sticking to it. But that doesn’t mean you need to be a groundbreaking genius like those you may be naming them after to find the perfect name, you just need to find one that does justice to your dog and your own level of creativity, and there are lots of avenues to approach it from. 

Generally speaking, personality provides the most accessible traits you can use in making your decision, both yours and your dog’s. For instance, if you are a dedicated computer user and your dog faithfully sits in your lap while you type away or they love to sleep by the warm, humming tower, maybe Gates, Hewlett, Dell, or Woz would be good options, especially if they attempt to do any typing themselves — on purpose or accidentally. If you and they both love hamburgers, maybe Kroc after Ray Kroc, the man who put McDonald’s on the map, would be a good option. If you want to attribute them some flash and glam, maybe Coco or Chanel would be good choices, as both have direct associations with high fashion. 

Or maybe you want to add some subtle humor to their name. If they are tough as steel, naming them Carnegie would be a good place to start, or if they’re always just a little bit oily, maybe Rockefeller is a better fit. If they’re extremely fast but never seem to use any energy, Elon or Musk might be good, after one of the founder’s of Tesla Motors or if they seem to have a lightning bolt shape on their head, Rowling may be the perfect fit. 

There are a ton of potential options but more importantly, just as many ways to get creative, so don’t limit yourself. Think outside the box like those you could be naming them after.
