House Dog Names

Dr. James Wilson is a special soul in that he appreciates the idiosyncrasies of his best friend, Dr. House. House is a curmudgeon. He refuses to make very much human contact; in fact, he avoids it whenever possible. Wilson is the only person that House remotely opens himself to, and this is a rare occasion. At times, House abuses his friendship with Wilson. However, Wilson remains loyal to his friend. 

One dog in Ohio went from being labeled a "problem dog" to being trained to work alongside the police force in search and rescue. Leonard is a Pit Bull. He landed in a shelter, and sadly, Leonard was on his way to being euthanized when he was noticed by the shelter's executive director, Jim Alloway. Alloway took notice that Leonard had a strong need to possess, well, really, anything. Alloway notes that if he had keys in his pocket, or even his wallet - things most dogs do not show much attention to - Leonard would stop at nothing to inspect whatever item Alloway possessed. It was then that Alloway began to fear that Leonard, who had no other behavioral issues, would never be able to fit into a traditional home. However, Leonard would soon make a name for himself as the first Pit Bull K9 in the Marysville, Ohio police department. You see, Jim Alloway also happens to train police dogs, and he saw great potential in Leonard. Leonard's high drive prods him to search for items until they are found. When scenting items, Leonard is a tenacious worker! Because of his never-give-up attitude, Leonard was trained for narcotics work, and Jim Alloway was right - Leonard was the perfect pooch for the job. Alloway says Leonard is proof that no one should give up on a dog - some dogs require people to dig a little deeper to get to know the dog, but every dog can do something. Leonard is living proof of that.
