Logan Inspired Dog Names

Hugh Jackman is one of Hollywood’s top actors who has had an illustrious career and starred in some of the best movies in the industry. However, the role that he is perhaps most known for is the fast-healing and ruthless superhero Wolverine. In fact, Jackman has played the hero since the start of the X-Men film franchise. In the 2017 film Logan, he reprises this role for one last time in what is considered to be the best installment from the franchise, in large part due to Jackman’s incredible portrayal of an aging Wolverine.

While Jackman will no longer bring Wolverine to life on the big screen, he is still busy working on other projects. Furthermore, he also spends a lot of time off-screen being the perfect dad to both his kids and his pets. Most of his fans know that Jackman famously owns two dogs that he adores and treats as his own children.

His first furbaby is a French Bulldog named Dali, who’s become somewhat of a celebrity because of how often he is featured in Jackman’s social media accounts. He and his wife, Deborah-Lee Furness were in New York with their son Oscar when they acquired the Frenchie, who belongs to a line that provided puppies to other celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Gisele Bundchen and Reese Witherspoon. The family named the pooch Dali, a nod to the artist Salvador Dali, because of the way the dog’s mustache stuck out in opposing directions.

Jackman’s love for his dog was evident; he not only posts images of the pooch on his accounts but he is also commonly photographed with Dali on several occasions. This is why it was a no-brainer to add a second dog into their family. In 2014, Jackman made an important announcement on his Instagram account: Dali was going to be a big brother. For Christmas of that year, he received a caramel-colored Poodle-Terrier mix. A few days after receiving the pooch, Jackman posted another video of the new dog on his account, this time with Dali, stating that he had named her Allegra.

It took no time for Dali and Allegra to become the best of friends. The dogs often go with the actor on his travels and shoots and they frequently spend time together doing different activities, including walking in the park and Doga. Jackman also reveals in an interview that he often video calls his dogs when he is away so that he wouldn’t miss them too much.
