First taking life in the form of a long-running American television series, the Mission: Impossible franchise has been experiencing worldwide success as a series of Action Spy Films that pit series protagonist Ethan Hunt against despots, dictators, terrorists, and traitors on a regular basis. Spinee has been said to be a very friendly and charming dog by anyone who's had the pleasure of meeting J.J. Abrams' long-time pet. Actor Simon Pegg, who has portrayed the character of Benjamin "Benji" Dunn since the third Mission Impossible film, is also a notorious dog lover and has states that his two dogs, Minnie and Myrtle, are two of the greatest joys in his life. Minnie and Myrtle have a very interesting relationship with Pegg's family and each other, with Minnie being credited as having once saved Myrtle's life by "starring down" Pegg's mother-in-law until the woman followed Minnie only to find Myrtle choking on a bone. Based on this incredible story, it would seem that Minnie may very have what it takes to become the Impossible Mission Force's first canine operative! All jokes aside, we're always delighted to hear stories about dogs saving the loves of one another, as well as hearing stories about dogs saving the lives of human beings and other animals.

Well, just about every element of the franchise has become iconic and instantly recognizable at this point; Tom Cruise's name has become synonymous not only with Ethan Hunt's but with the Mission: Impossible franchise as a whole. The series' theme song, which was originally composed by Lalo Schifrin before being updated and modified by the likes of Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, and Michael Giacchino, is one of the most iconic pieces of music ever created; it's right up there with the legendary scores John Williams created for Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Superman. And of course, the exhilarating "fuse" title sequences each film starts with have also become deeply ingrained in cinematic history and pop culture as a whole.

It's for the reasons listed above, as well as just being a big fan of great action/spy movies that you should consider naming your dog after a character from the Mission Impossible series.
