Introduction

Narcos is an American crime and biographical drama that premiered exclusively on the popular web streaming service Netflix. The series is set in the country of Colombia, with the first two seasons focusing on the story of drug lord Pablo Escobar, who became notorious for his massive network of cocaine production and distribution. Moreover, Narcos tells the story of the agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as they try to take down Escobar’s Medellin cartel and stop Pablo’s reign of terror. While it is mostly a work of fiction, Narcos is loosely based on the real-life events in Escobar’s life and some of the characters were based on real people.

Narcos Dog Name Considerations

Do you find yourself wondering how to pick a name for your new dog? Yes, it seems simple enough: just pick a name, get your dog used to it and that’s it! However, for something so permanent, you should take time and put a lot of thought into your choice. A usual mistake that some dog owners make is that they get TOO crafty with their name choices.

While there is nothing wrong with choosing a cool and eccentric name for your dog, you also have to consider practicality. Is the name you chose a part of a trend that will go out of style in a few months? Is it a name that you could easily call out in a dog park or public place without getting weird looks? If the answer is no, then it’s probably not a good name choice. If you want to stick to your guns and give your dog an odd name, just be sure to have a nickname that you can use, especially when training and commanding.

For Narcos-inspired names for your pooch, you can pick from the selection of characters in the show. Do you want to pay tribute to the DEA agents who took down Escobar? If yes, you can name your dog after agents Steve Murphy or Javier Peña. You can also give your dog a name inspired by the actors involved in the hit show. For instance, if you were impressed by the portrayal of Pablo Escobar in the show, you can give your dog the name Wagner, after actor Wagner Moura.
