But our featured dog, Lola, not only enjoys music but also enjoys singing herself. Owner Annie Aul posted a video of Lola in the car’s backseat in 2017. The then eight-year-old Shiloh Shepherd is still all about chilling with Annie for road trips and also showing off those vocal chords. Wow! You’ll have to watch the video on YouTube to truly appreciate just how much this pup digs music and belting out her version of Queen’s “We Are the Champions.”
On that particular day, Annie was traveling from Alabama to Florida to pick up a horse. Annie says that Lola does not respond in this manner to all music. She likes Queen (obviously) and has a particular fondness for country hits. When the pooch hears a jam that she likes, she wakes up and begins her singing. Lola reminds us that we don’t have to know all the words to have a good time!
Lola probably takes her cues from Annie, who is actually quite into the song herself during the video. Together, Queen, Annie, and Lola are quite the adorable trio, but we at Wag! think that Lola definitely is a sort of showgirl or at least a showstopper! The minute you witness this singing sensation, you might put on some Queen just to see if your own dog responds.
Lola certainly has herself a good time and is able to keep entertained during her and Annie’s adventures. She’s quite the soulful singer, indeed. The next time you take your pup along for the ride, try out some music. Maybe your fur child has some hidden talents!
