The Spanish Water Dog is a medium to large sized breed that can reach up to 90 pounds fully grown (male). As can be assumed from their name, this breed was designed specifically to help fisherman as a water retriever. According to the Purina ProClub article featuring Jango, he has been the Number 1 Spanish Water Dog in show since 2015. On top of this, he has been dubbed the Number 7 herding dog and even won Best of Breed 2 years running at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show in the years 2016 and 2017. There is no doubt that Jango is out to win, and he isn't afraid to show his best at all times.

From even the young age of 5 months, Jango's owners Faith Ott and Janet Rahn (who run a dog kennel in Ridgeland, South Carolina) noticed that he had a very smooth gait and a showman's personality. So in the year 2014, Janet began to campaign for Jango.
