Leonidas

That's right, someone out there was bold enough to name their dog after the legendary Spartan King Leonidas. And we mean that by the letter; our featured Spotlight Dog is an American Bully dog whose full name is King Leonidas, a friendly canine who hails from Texas. King Leonidas (the dog that is) has the distinction of being the American Bully Kennel Club's Grand Champion dog as of April 27th, 2015. King Leonidas was only three years old when he earned his title by putting his incredible athleticism and distinguished bloodline to great use. King Leonidas has been said to be able to run for long periods of time without growing tired and is able to physically exert himself, even on the most humid of days.

King Leonidas' owner, Ryan McCawley is always eager to show his pride for his beloved American Bully dog and he's happy to tell people about one of the many experiences he and King Leonidas have been through over the years. Despite his name and muscular appearance, King Leonidas is a very friendly and sociable dog who likes to mingle with other dogs and humans whenever he's given the chance.

However, whereas Cerberus was charged with acting as a guard dog for the Underworld, Hercules is simply a gentle giant who loves to spend time with his family and lounge about when he isn't stunning bystanders with his massive frame.
