Introduction

1987's Street Fighter changed everything. Capcom released the arcade game taking a gamble – it was their first fighting game ever. Little did they know that it would blow up to become one of the most well-known and iconic franchises in all of gaming. The funny part is the original game was the least popular. As the series progressed, it picked up more and more steam. But the first one holds an important spot, having incorporated attack buttons and command-based techniques, things which eventually became standard in all fighting games. So, if you want to name your dog after Street Fighter, you've come to the right place!

Street Fighter Dog Name Considerations

Clearly, you're here because you really want to name your dog after Street Fighter. Whether or not you've already adopted the dog, it doesn't really matter... to a point. If you haven't adopted the dog yet, you don't know what his or her personality is like, and you don't know things like preferences, favorite toys, likes and dislikes. All of this is valuable information when naming a dog, because it shapes the idea in your head of what this dog is really like.

But when you already know that you want to name your dog after a well-known franchise, well, that limits options. It cuts out the need for a ton of information. As long as you have a general idea of which names stand out to you, you're pretty much in the clear!

There are still some helpful things to consider though. For instance, maybe think about which Street Fighter character is your favorite, and why. Think about which characters in general stand out to you. Maybe you remember selecting the same character over and over again when playing the arcade game? In other words, stick to what feels familiar. It's this sense of familiarity that will make the dog's name feel like home.
