Cerberus, or a Hellhound, is a mythical creature present in many of the world’s mythologies, many movies, tv series, and books. In the Teen Wolf universe, the Hellhound is also known as the Bearer of Death, and he is another supernatural being that coincidentally lives in the small town of Beacon Hills, just like Scott McCall and his wolf pack. In the story, a Hellhound possesses the body of a human in order to fulfill their mission, and gives them supernatural powers such as pyrokinesis and thermokinesis. Cerberus is the guardian of the underworld as well as the entire supernatural world, neither on the side of good nor evil. They are neutral and they only care about their life mission – keeping the supernatural safe and secret.

The Cerberus is a night dweller, and he transforms into his true Hellhound form after dark. He does his bidding during the night, while his host is completely unaware of it, usually causing a blackout for them where they have no recollection of where they were, what they did, and what happened the night before. However, the Cerberus has another notable power. They can allow their host to feel their presence and even merge completely with them to amplify their powers and have a better and more equal relationship while fulfilling their destined mission.

Cerberus, or Hellhound, has red glowing eyes that look like flames, he can produce heat and start a fire with his body, and he can also control the fire element. That also means that he is immune to fire, so there is absolutely no way he would get hurt if someone strikes a match near him. This was proven in the scene where Hellhound’s host, Officer Parrish burned alive in a car, but walked away with not even a tiny mark on his body.

Cerberus has had many monikers over the centuries such as Garmr, the Black Dog, the Black Shuck, Hellhound, and Guardian of the Supernatural. He has many powers, including the aforementioned pyrokinesis, super strength and speed, shapeshifting, immunity to Banshee scream, Kitsune electricity, Kanima venom, and electrokinetic abilities of Chimeras, as well as extreme agility. He also has heightened senses which allow him to see the supernatural phenomena invisible to humans, he can heal really fast, he is connected to other harbingers of death such as Banshees, and he is also immortal.
