That '70s Show Dog Names

The series, That '70s Show, started in 1993 as an American period sitcom. It starred some huge names such as Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutscher. The show pays tribute to some monumental events of the 1970`s such as the sexual revolution, Equal Rights Amendment, and presidency of Richard Nixon. With it socio-political undertone, wittiness, and unexpected longevity it is among the pioneers of its sort. But wait, where's the doggo here?

You already noticed that we mentioned a dog in the series. Her name is Schatzi and she is the one that brings to the family the refreshment it sometimes desperately needs. Many will surely remember all too well the heart-warming moment when Red gives his wife a puppy as a gift to make her feel better as he is going through all ups-and-downs that menopause usually brings. We all know that it can be quite an emotional time for a woman, so having a dog companion can definitely help mend some of the not so great moments menopause can bring along with it.

Schatzi steps on the stage in season 5. She became a full-fledged member of the family. Although she wets the sofa and probably poops here and there, she is given the love that we can't really see between the family members. Imagine that, she even takes yoga classes! What a cool, hip, in with the times doggo she is!

What about the name you wonder? Schatzi is actually a German word used among partners that can be translated into 'my love'. Just goes on to show how appreciated she is in the family. She is the one that connects the family members who usually share sarcasm rather than love among themselves. You could even say she plays the role of a family counselor who is always there to remind us that the thing that connects people is the love we share. This little bundle of joy doesn't have frequent appearances. After season 5, we only hear about Schatzi in the season 7 when they say the dog has been hiding under house for a year because she is afraid of the garden hose. This might be a spoiler for the new fans of the series, but Schatzi will only melt your heart throughout the season 5 and teach you that dogs are not only man's but also family’s best friend.
