Dream and Delirium eventually manage to track Destruction down and ask him why he abandoned his position. Destruction replied that he didn't want to be associated with the sort of widespread damage industrialized warfare could cause - something that infuriated Dream. Realizing that he wouldn't be able to find peace with the others hounding after him, Destruction set off to parts unknown once again - this time leaving Barnabas in the care of Delirium in the hopes of giving his faithful furry friend over to someone much warmer and delightful than himself.
