Located on the long peninsula of the Guadalupe River in Canyon Lake, Cranes Mill Park in the Town Center neighborhood is a fun place to enjoy the sunset and walk Fido after a day at work. Pups can frolic in the grass near the fishing pier, or fetch a ball out of the water. Families can enjoy fishing at the park. You can even take your favorite pup canoeing or boating. The campsites also allow dogs, but they must be kept under control and are not allowed to be left unattended at the camp. Sattler and Startzville
Situated on a hilltop at the south end of Canyon Dam, Overlook Park in the Sattler and Startzville neighborhood is run by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The scenic park offers a large open space to let your pup run and fetch his ball, or you can spend time walking the trails along the Dam. Restrooms and fresh water are available when you and your pooch need a cool drink. If you are hoping for a picnic lunch with your pooch, bring a blanket and your favorite kibble, as there are no picnic tables in the park.

Jacobs Creek
Randolph Recreation Park, or JBSA Park, is in the Jacobs Creek neighborhood and is only open to DOD card holders. The day-use areas offer picnic sites where you and your pooch can enjoy lunch, or play a game of frisbee in the large grassy area. If your pup has energy to spare, there are miles of nature trails you can explore and seek out puppy treasures. The park also features a marina where you and your pup can rent a boat and spend the day fishing, or relax on the beach and soak up the sun while dipping your paws in the cool water. A Country Store located in the park also offers cold drinks, snacks, and ice cream when your pooch deserves a treat.

Rebecca Creek
Located on the South shore of Canyon Lake, Comal Park is in the Rebecca Creek neighborhood, and offers space for you and your to run and play. The park features 65 picnic sites where you and your puppy pals can enjoy a snack and lap up some water. There is a playground and swim beach area, but dogs are unfortunately not allowed to swim. You will want to keep your pup under control and use a leash when walking near other guests of the park. If you love to take your pooch for a ride in the boat, there are two boat ramps available, just remember to bring life jackets for yourself and Fido.

Mystic Shores
Potters Creek Park is situated along the northern shore of Canyon Lake, and offers scenic trails to walk Fido in the Mystic Shores Neighborhood. While meandering along the Guadalupe River, you and your pooch will probably meet other pups and owners to socialize with and exchange sniffs.
