Formerly known as Bar Beach and Hempstead Harbor Park, this pawsome beachfront property has over 34 acres of stunning sandy shores for people and their pooches to explore. 

If a leisurely stroll was more what you were looking for, grab Fido's leash and head out for North Hempstead Beach Park's promenade which runs along the water, providing a good workout and pawrific views all at the same time. Take care to make sure that Fido remains on a leash at all times; though pooches are welcome to join their people here, New York state does strictly observe leash laws. 

There are lots of fun things to do at North Hempstead Beach Park. If you like fishing, boating, swimming, or other water sports, you've found the park for you! Other fun activities include shuffleboard, horseshoes, and basketball. Looking for a fur-ific spot to enjoy a picnic lunch? Look no further. North Hampstead Beach Park has picnic areas, and Fido is welcome to tag along there too. There are even barbecues where you can grill up a juicy steak. Bathrooms with showers are available on the property, and you can grab some drinking water here as well to give your favorite canine pal a quick sip when the urge strikes. Since clean up bags are not provided, you should bring some from home with you, so you can pick up after your best canine buddy. 

Residents of New York state may enjoy North Hempstead Beach Park free of charge, but there is a cost for non-residents. If paying by credit card, the fee is $10. Cash payments are $15.
