Crescent Beach

Crescent Beach is located in St. Augustine, Florida. It is a very popular beach because it has tons of features and amenities, has the perfect sands, and it is stunning. Since this beach allows horseback riding, surfing, and driving your cars on the beach during certain times of the year, it tends to get crowded during the warmer summer months. However, it is less crowded than some of the others beaches in the area. 

At this beach, you will find restrooms, showers for washing the sand and salt off before you leave the beach, off and on beach parking options during certain times of the year, a pavilion, places to eat, picnic tables, lifeguards seasonally, surfing, and you can even ride horses on the beach if you have a special permit. We also love the fact that there is a special station to wash your dog off! 

Dogs are allowed on the beach and in the ocean as long as they are wearing their leash. Since horses and cars are allowed on the beach too, you definitely want to make sure your dog is on a leash so there are no accidents. The sand is clean and soft but is packed down hard, which is ideal for long walks and running. It is also easier for your dog to treck through and may or may not keep your dog cleaner than super-soft sand beaches. 

They do not seem to provide poop bag stations, so make sure you bring your own so you can clean up after your dog goes to the bathroom. As a dog owner, it is your responsibility to make sure you keep public places clean and sanitary. 

Overall, Crescent Beach in St. Augustine is a dog-friendly beach that will surely give your dog the best time digging in the sand and splashing in the waves!
