Glenwood Beach

Glenwood Beach is located in Boyne City, Michigan. The beach is small with a sandy area and waterfront that sits at the end of Glenwood Beach Drive. You can also access this small lake beach from Lake Charlevoix, as well. Since the beach is so small and secluded, many people do not know it is there, making it a quiet, relaxing, and peaceful place to take your pup to play in the sand and splash in the water. 

The beach is surrounded by lots of trees, so you have plenty of cold and shady places to relax on the beach with your pup. The waters are also very shallow so your dog can swim safely in the water. This is also a great feature if your dog is a bit nervous about the water, and they just like to splash in the water and not go in for a full swim. If you venture into other parts of the beach, you will also find fire pits, picnic tables, and grills for cookouts. 

Since this beach is so tiny, you will not find any bathrooms, showers, picnic tables, or any other amenities. Glenwood is merely a place to take your dog for a fun and straightforward beach experience without any frills or fuss. The beach is not located near any busy roads, so your beach day will be quiet, and you will not have to worry about your dog getting loose near any traffic. 

You will not find any poop bag stations or trash cans at the beach, so bring your own poop bags so you can clean up after your dog. You will have to carry out the poop bags as well and find a trash can elsewhere to discard the bags. Always bring water with you for your dog to drink, so they remain cool and well hydrated after running on the beach and splashing in the water. 

Overall, Glenwood Beach is a small, private, and secluded beach that is great for dogs who like shallow water and don't need a ton of space to run on the beach. Your dog will love their experience here!
