Neskowin Beach State Recreation Site

Neskowin Beach State Recreation Site is located in Neskowin, Oregon. Neskowin is a large and long beach that is perfect for talking long walks and runs with your dog. It is a favorite beach, but perhaps is not as crowded as some other Oregon beaches, making it a great quiet and relaxing place to take that daily stroll. 

Of course, the beach is excellent, but you can also explore one of the many beautiful trails this park has to offer. You can even rent some dog-friendly cottages to make for a great weekend getaway with your dog. The beach has clean and soft sands, and the ocean tends to be calm much of the time, so your dog can have lots of fun splashing around in the water. You will also find restrooms on site, a picnic area for meals and snacks, and fishing is allowed as well. 

You can enjoy the unique natural formations while you're there. When the tide is low, pieces of wood stick up from the sand and little pools of water gather in sunken in areas of the sand that your dog will love to play in. A massive rock formation with trees also sits on the beach and makes for some great pictures with your furry friend. 

Please make sure to bring your poop bags with you as this location does not have any available. Pick up after your dog when they are done going to the bathroom so this beach stays clean and sanitary. You also want to keep your dog on a leash when you are at this beach, although it may not be required at all hours and months. However, you will always need a leash on hand, and your dog must be responsive to your voice commands.
