Wrightsville Beach

Looking for a beach that offers just a little bit more? Then Wrightsville Beach Park is the place for you! Not only does this pawsome North Carolina hotspot offer a dog-friendly beach, but it is also home to a park with lots of fun stuff for people and their pooches to do. Fido is welcome to join you for a pawsitively awesome day of beach fun, but the North Carolina Paw Patrol ask that you please keep him on a leash. 

It's important to note that the beach is not open to pooches from April 1st through September 30th, but all other times of year, Fido can romp and frolic by the cool spray of the ocean to his heart's content. There is a parking fee required at Wrightsville Beach Park. The cost for parking is $15 per day, or $2.50 per hour. If you're looking for some pawrific activities to enjoy during your day at the beach, here are just a few of the woofderful things that await you and your favorite furry companion: surfing, kiteboarding, tennis, basketball, softball, tennis, and volleyball. This spot also earns two paws up for its extracurricular activities such as outdoor yoga sessions, paddleboard classes, the weekly Farmers Market each Saturday, and even outdoor concerts in the summer. So long as Fido puts on his best canine manners, he can join you too! 

Sea turtles frequent the beach area, and they are a protected species under North Carolina law. Fido will likely be interested in making a new pal but please take care that he doesn't frighten them! Bathrooms are also available at Wrightsville Beach Park. To be sure Fido has all of the things he might need for a furific day at the beach, don't forget to pack bottled water, clean up bags, and a snack for him to enjoy.
