Description

One of the best-kept secrets for all year round camping is in the sunny state of Idaho, where you can experience time out in a tranquil setting with first-rate amenities.

Relax in one of their comfortable, log-style cabins or drive into an RV site and be connected to water, electricity, and sewer, offering all the comforts of home. For those who can’t resist camping out under the stars, there are plenty of grass-filled spaces for you to put up a tent. Poplar trees create a natural windbreak with picnic tables and grills for all tenters to share, plus the camp features a large pavilion where groups can get together. Throughout the park, majestic pine trees provide shade and a picturesque setting, ideal for getting away from it all.

You might want to try something a little different and spend a few nights in one of their covered wagons, looking very much like the western wagons from back in the day. This could be fun for the kids to learn how pioneers traveled far to establish new settlements.

The campgrounds are friendly and family orientated with modern restrooms, showers, and a café/snack bar where you can order a home-made hamburger. There is also a laundromat and a well-stocked store to grab supplies with on-site along with fuel pumps where RV’s and bigger rigs can fill-up with diesel, gasoline or propane.

The kids will have a blast on the massive water slide and in the swimming pool (that’s no more than 4ft in depth). Another pool is deeper for the adults, with both being heated for all-year swimming fun. There’s also a games room featuring air hockey, a pool table, plus an 18-hole miniature golf course and a children’s playground.

If the kids have smuggled their pet pooch in the back of the RV, they’ll be happy to know Anderson Camp is a pet-friendly place with just a few rules for dogs. Your fluffy friend must stay on leash and can be exercised in a designated walk area. All doggy waste must be picked up and secured in a litter bag, then disposed of in the camp dumpster. Your pooch cannot enter any of the camp buildings or be left tied up on their own and left outdoors after 10 at night. The camp is located next to the main highway, so it’s wise to leash your dog for safety.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
