Description

Located on Beaver Creek near the Missouri River, Beaver Creek Recreation Area is a great place for those who wish to camp in the Linton, North Dakota, area. With great views and shady spots to camp in, avid campers will love setting up their tents or RVs in this campground. There are 51 reservable campsites on the property, and 37 of those have electric hookups. Dogs are allowed on the property, which makes it a great spot for dog owners to enjoy without leaving the pup at home.

The campgrounds aren't far from a boat ramp area, where campers with boats can get out on the water without hassle. Those with boats can enjoy fishing in the creek and participating in water sports such as water skiing and tubing. Swimming in the creek is also allowed, and visitors with dogs will enjoy watching their dogs swim in the sun. Some guests even like head to Lake Oahe for boating fun and swimming. Fishers can catch walleye, northern pike, yellow perch, and more. There are fish cleaning stations in the park that allow for easy preparation for dinner over the grill.

In some parts of the area, hunting is allowed, so be aware of the hunters in the area during any hikes through the woods. Depending on the season, hunters can find deer, pronghorn, dove, grouse, pheasant, partridge, rabbit, squirrel, and waterfowl.

There are natural trails and playgrounds in the area that kids love to explore. In addition to the 3-lane boat ramp that was mentioned earlier, there are also two docks where people can fish without a boat. There is even a horseshoe pit for those who need a little more fun and games on their trip.

Certain facilities, such as flush toilets, water, and showers, are seasonal, so you will need to find out what amenities are available during the time you will be visiting.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
