Description

Brevoort Lake Campground is a popular camping destination in Michigan’s Hiawatha National Forest. This well-maintained, dog-friendly campground is the perfect spot for your next camping trip with your canine companion! You’ll love its nice amenities and scenic setting — it sits in a quiet forest beside Brevoort Lake. You’ll also love experiencing the area's furrific outdoor activities.

Brevoort Lake Campground has 35 campsites; the nightly fee for a single site is $18, and the nightly fee for a double site is $36. The sites can accommodate 8 and 16 campers respectively. All of the sites are equipped with fire rings with grills, lantern poles, and picnic tables. Some sites offer stunning views of the lake — previous guests with dogs note that it's an excellent place for pups to take a dip in the summer! The campground also offers visitors access to its boat ramp, dump station, firewood vendor, drinking water, and a fishing pier.

If you’re looking for ways to explore Hiawatha National Forest’s (almost) one million acres, you’ll be happy with all the options available. The forest is home to an extensive trail system, and it has a number of dog-friendly spots that you’re sure to enjoy. For a moderate-difficulty hike, head north to Mission Hill Trial. This trail is about 3.6 miles, and it starts out lakeside and winds through the forest. For a more challenging hike, you can try Trout Pond to Maple Hill Trail. This out-and-back route spans 8.5 miles, and it passes through peaceful woodlands and along some gorgeous secluded brooks. There's even a chance that you'll able to spot a beaver dam!

You can also enjoy fishing and boating on Brevoort Lake. The campground’s fishing pier and boat ramp offer convenient lake access. If you don't have a boat to use, there’s no need to worry! Kayak rentals are available at the campground.

Please make sure your woofer stays leashed throughout your time at Brevoort Lake Campground. Also, remember to clean up after your dog.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
