Description

Crossroads Campground is located on the Colorado River, situated between California and Arizona. The small campground is on the very riverfront and is a great location for anyone who enjoys fishing, boating, canoeing, and swimming. Even though there are two addresses for this campground – both CA and AZ - the actual campsites are on the California side of the Colorado River.

Although small, it is a popular campground located only 8-9 miles south from the Parker Dam. There are 26 gravel campsites to choose from and most sites are back-in, with four available sites as pull-thru. The sites can be reserved in advance, but first-come-first-serve sites are also available. All sites are partially or fully shaded and have a picnic table, fire ring, and allow grilling. There are no water or electric hook-ups available and there are vault toilets and a dump station within a mile radius. In the same radius, you will find a boat launch ramp and the Rock House Visitor Centre. The campground is under the Bureau of Land Management, and an on-site host is available around the clock if you need anything.

While the campground’s location on the Colorado River shoreline provides ample opportunities for fishing, the area around the campground is a popular spot for hiking, rock hounding, and biking. It also provides great scenic views across the river for leisurely walking.

To get to the campsites, the AZ side will have to cross to the California side of the Colorado River over the Parker Dam, but oversized vehicles are not allowed to cross it so you'll need to consider this when making your journey.

It is a dog-friendly campground and welcomes all domestic pets, but your dog will have to be leashed and on their best behavior, so make sure to walk them plenty while there and bring enough supplies with you - including poop bags to be able to clean up after them.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
