Description

Fishing and kayaking are the main attractions at Flowing Well Campground, with opportunities for both being quite conveniently located.

Camping here is limited, with only a handful of sites found in the whole of Flowing Well. These sites cater to a blend of camper and tent traffic, so be sure to verify what type of area you're reserving. While tap water is available for guests, it may have a flavor that some deem unpalatable, so it's wise to pack a few extra gallons before setting off for Flowing Well. No modern restroom facilities exist either, so plan to bring any extra toiletries you might require. Feel free to bring Fido along for this trip, provided they're kept out of the few public areas that pepper the campground. Normal leash laws apply, so be sure to keep your canine restrained throughout your visit.

If you're a fan of the doggie paddle and looking to visit Flowing Well, you'll find the campground well suited, as a portion of the Sturgeon River flows right through the area. This particular stretch is a popular kayak and canoe spot, so be sure to pack yours for some water exploration. State laws are in effect here, so check your boat's registration before the waters become too tempting. If you're taking your canine companion along in your vessel, be sure they're kept safe and secure at all times.

Avid anglers are in for a treat at Flowing Well, as the river is also open to fishing throughout the season. Popular types include trout and salmon among some other notable species. If you're looking to turn your overnight stay into a fishing expedition, make sure your gear is packed for the journey as no services exist for the sport anywhere on the campground. Dogs are free to accompany anglers as long as they're on some sort of restraint.

Any potential visitors to Flowing Well should remember that outside opportunities for recreation may incur additional costs, including admission fees for the surrounding Hiawatha National Forest.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
