Pearl Lake State Park is located outside of beautiful Steamboat Springs, Colorado, about three hours from Denver. One of the most beautiful parks in Colorado, Pearl Lake is nestled in the mountains and offers a wide range of outdoor activities and adventures for visitors. If you are planning a visit to the area, you will be happy to know that dogs are allowed, as long as they are kept on a leash.

There are 36 campsites and two yurts located along the 165-acre lake, which has been voted one of America's top 25 places for canoeing. For fishing fanatics, the lake is known for its excellent fly and lure fishing, giving anglers the chance to catch a native cutthroat trout or one of the many other species.

There are two loops within the campground - the second of which offers many lakeside spots, equipped with trees and ample shade. The upper loop gives stunning views of Farwell Mountain and the surrounding hills. During the late summer months and early fall, visitors can witness a true treat as the aspens begin to change colors. If you are bringing your four-legged friend, there are miles and miles of hiking trails accessible from the campground. The area is known for its mountain biking and the lake is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding. There are even kayak and paddleboard rentals available during the peak summer months, for those looking for a new adventure!

The town of Steamboat is just 40 minutes away and makes for an excellent day trip, The downtown area has numerous restaurants, eclectic shops, galleries, and more. Steamboat Mountain is one of the most popular ski areas in the state, offering downhill mountain biking and hiking during the summer months. If you are making a trip to Pearl Lake State Park, make sure and stop by Steamboat Springs and take the gondola to the top of the mountain for unforgettable views!
