Sleepy Holler Campground

The Sleepy Holler Campground has 130 sites nestled in the hills of Cordova, Alabama. The campground is rustic for a park that is servicing RVs and motor units. There are 60 pull-through sites and room for pull-outs. There are 45 gravel sites and 35 dirt sites, but the sites are not necessarily level, and only a few sites have shade. 

The amenities include laundry, RV wash, and supplies. Activities can include fishing, nature trails, a recreation room, horseshoes, and a game room. It is reported that there are WIFI hot spots and that cell service is possible in the park. Discounts are offered to members of the Good Sam Club or the military. 

The campground has been reviewed on a variety of websites for campers and travelers. Visitors to the campground consistently describe similar concerns with the upkeep of the park. One visitor reported that there are small lakes in the area, a quaint church and that it is a quiet place to stay. There are quite a few sites that are occupied by persons living in this campground on an extended basis. 

There are repeated reports that wild dogs roam the area, creating concern for the safety of campground visitors and their pets. If you decide to camp here with your dog, you will want to check if the issue has been reconciled at the county level as this is a problem not specific to the park. Make sure you keep your dog on a leash and check the area before venturing beyond your site. Do not take a puppy into areas with other dogs until your pup has completed vaccinations. Always be a good citizen and clean up after your pup regardless of the actions of others.
