Description

A day spent in Bogachiel State Park will reinvigorate your pup’s senses and give them a much needed escape from the cares of everyday canine life. So pack 'em up and head over for some fun in the great outdoors!

Bogachiel State Park is nestled on the banks of the winding Bogachiel River. It’s often used as a base for those who want to explore the nearby Hoh Rainforest or the pawsome Northwest beaches. But this puptacular park is a woofderful destination in its own right. Thick forests and a refreshing river combine to make a doggone gorgeous park. Follow the one mile nature trail so your pal can get a taste for the park’s wild beauty. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the local birds and wildlife. If you have a fishing license, you can bring your pole along and cast a line into the river.

If you want to stay the night, settle into one of the park’s two dozen campsites. Some of the sites have electrical hookups and can accommodate RVs. There are also a couple hiker-biker spots for those who are a bit more adventurous. To keep campers happy and smelling fresh, the park has restrooms and showers available. Remember, when outside of the tent or RV, dogs need to be kept on a leash.

If you are only stopping by for the day, pack a picnic and enjoy an outdoor meal with your furry friend. The park has three picnic tables in the upper day use area, while the lower day use area has a kitchen shelter complete with lighting, electricity, and large grill. Bring the whole pack along and throw some burgers on the barbecue. The company and scenery just can’t be beat!

Be sure that wherever you explore, your pup stays leashed and well-mannered. Keep clean-up bags on hand, and always stoop and scoop. Also tote along enough water to share with your furry adventurer.

No bones about it, your pup will love spending time in this park!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
