Fay Bainbridge State Park

Fay Bainbridge State Park and Playground offers seventeen acres of marine camping including 1,420 feet of shoreline. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times. They have a scoop your poop rule and you must bring your own bags. From the park, you can see the Cascade Mountains, the Puget Sound, two volcanoes, and lots of sandy beaches. From the beach, on clear days you can also see Mount Baker and Mount Rainier. Nearby is the site of the home of Chief Seattle, which offers the Old Man House. 

During low tide, you can hike several miles along the shoreline. Please note that in order to protect the eelgrass beds, shellfish harvesting is prohibited in this area. The park is open from eight in the morning until dusk every day, all year long. The camp offers two restroom facilities, one with showers. Check-in for camping is 2:30 pm, with check out at 1 pm. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 6:30 am, with power generators limited from 8 am to 9 pm. 

There are two kitchen shelters with electricity and water that accommodate up to 50 people, one of which overlooks the Puget Sound. There are also 10 unsheltered picnic areas. The park offers 14 tent sites for $20 per night, with a portable toilet and central water. There are seven RV sites with water for $30 per night, and 19 RV sites that have both water and electricity for $40 per night. Some of the RV sites can accommodate vehicles up to 40 feet in length. 

There are also two cabins for rent, each of which is $95 per night. You can stay for up to ten days within a thirty-day period, and you can reserve most sites in advance. You may not reserve a site if it is within 10 days of your arrival as all sites are first come, first serve at that point. Dog parks in the area include Strawberry Hill Park, which is 2.35 acres of wooded off-leash area for your pup as well as Eagledale Park, which is a one-acre grassy off-leash park.
