Frog Park

Are you looking for a beautiful, fun, and lively Oakland park to take your best buddy to? If so, you should head on down to Frog Park! Also called the Rockridge-Temescal Greenbelt, this play space found in a residential area spans three whole city blocks from the Grove Shafter Freeway to Cavour Street, and features plenty of amenities for you and your doggo to explore. 

The main feature of the the park are the two impressive custom-built children's playgrounds, complete with a climbing rock wall. While the little two-leggeds in your clan will love it, your dog would enjoy exploring the grounds even more. You and your leashed pup can meander through the beautiful, towering redwood trees. Check out the butterfly gardens, or follow Temescal Creek on paved walkways. With benches spread out through the park, you'll be sure to find a nice spot to relax and take in your surroundings. Bring a snack or meal and spread out on one of the picnic tables. 

While your dog is welcome to explore the park with you, be sure to keep that leash on at all times. Restrooms are available for the humans, but do bring clean-up bags for your pup, and always stoop and scoop. A water bottle and bowl makes it easy to keep your dog hydrated. As with any public park, its always a good idea to have your dog fully vaccinated and licensed before you come.
