Goss Park

For complete off leash fun, all the dogs in Guilford head to the Guilford Dog Park. This community built park has become a favorite for area pups! Found right next to the Nut Plains Park is this 1.5 acre pup paradise, where there is lots of parking, and tons of fun inside!

This completely fenced in dog park has a large enclosure for medium to big dogs, with an adjacent enclosure for small and shy pups. The small dog area is smaller, but definitely big compared to most other small dog parks. There is a double-gated entry for dog safety into both areas. Covered in mulch and dirt, the terrain in both enclosures is pawsome on those paws! While much of the area is open, community workers who cleared the land left plenty of trees here and there to keep the area wooded and partially shaded. Benches are placed throughout for owners to relax on. 

Other puptastic amenities include water jug dispensers to help keep thirsty pups satisfied, but do bring a bowl for your dog's convenience. Visitors often bring gallons of water to add to the community water pile. There are clean-up bag dispensers too, so be sure to pick up whatever your pup lays down. 

To get into the park, your pup must have a valid license and rabies tag on their collars at all times. Be sure to keep a leash on hand, and stay inside the enclosure with your dog. Dog owners are limited to three dogs each when visiting the park. 

This dog park is furtastic, but if your pup has had their fill, you can always clip on the leash and stroll through the 23 acres of Nut Plains Park, when there are no games in session on the lacrosse fields, of course!
